I've been meaning to tell you about how fabulous Spring Bada-Bing turned out! After many months of planning and organizing the day finally arrived and people were waiting at the door! Yes! The Marquee was packed all day until the last minute - we gave out 200 swag bags before noon, less than 2 hours into the show. Since the show we have received several awesome write-ups about the show from RCM members, vendors, and shoppers. Major thank yous go out the writers of mim4art, my aim is true, off the record, indie fixx, Etsy Labs, A Peek Behind Lark Studio and Pottery by Tasha for their praises. I especially want to thank Amber of my aim is true. She took this gorgeous pic of my pillows at the show and has also featured one of them in her Daily Click - Mother's Day Edition on her blog today. You can see the pillow she's talking about in the very back to the left. And yes, I will also extend you the 10% off your first crystal j. purchase - hmmm, lets say until Mother's Day (May13) . You're welcome.

Wow, it's almost the last week of April and I'm ending the month with a bang! For the first time ever I'm doing 2 back-to-back shows in one weekend. First up on Saturday from 10am - 5pm is Fool for Art at John Tyler Community College, their 2nd annual show. It was a great show last year - barring the wind - and I'm hoping for an even better one this year. Click here for details.

Well, I've been a Myspace for some months now and I must admit that I have enjoyed it. I can't say that I've gotten any sales directly from it, but I have gained much more exposure and many contacts because of it. I know that I've certainly gotten some extra visits to my Etsy shop. What a great little (or not so little) networking tool. I've even found some long lost friends along the way. I've finally made a "thanks for the add" message and I'm debuting it here. So go check me out over on Myspace and you just might see this little guy in your comment section.

Finally I've got some more items for men in my Etsy shop! I've been trying to beef up my selections for the guys for quite some time now. Just a little over a week ago, I've introduced a pocket square or handkerchief with little robots on it. I'm really excited about this line, so hopefully I'll get a good response. Don't know if you've seen the guys rocking the silk handkerchiefs around their necks, ie, Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams and Jaime Foxx, but it is such a hot look for the guys. This scarf can also be used as a pocket square to jazz up your favorite suit or just add a little color to that boring black suit that you have. Think Fred Astaire. There so many ways to tuck this little baby in your pocket and I think that I'm going to include some folding suggestions to those who decide to pick one of these up. This one features robots - my newest pattern that I am also really stoked about - so watch out for more robot stuff in my shop soon!
PS - Ladies don't feel left out. This can also be worn knotted around your neck or how cute would it be to tie it around your head kerchief-style this summer. How versatile.

I've been tagged!
This is the first time I've been blog tagged! One of my best Etsy customers who is also an avid blogger tagged me the other day. The challenge was to list your 7 favorite songs that you are currently listening to on your blog and then tag seven more bloggers. During the day I usually listen to Pandora, this really cool internet radio station that tailors the stations to your likes an dislikes. If you haven't heard of it, it is really worth checking out. Something I've been meaning to do for the longest time is to put a link and do a post about Pandora here and this was just the motivation I needed! Thanks vicariousrising! You can see the stations that I currently have set up - I put a rather large button under the "Hot Links" section. Now don't get me wrong, this isn't the extent of my musical taste - I do love my hip-hop, I guess I would have to say my fave group is The Roots (I've seen them every time they have been to Richmond!), but on a day-to-day basis, you will find me listening to a fair amount of jazz. Except when I'm in my car and then more than likely I'm listening to 106.5 the Beat (not in the mornings so much anymore, but that's a totally different story) or a mixed cd of all the hottest tracks made by my husband. Anyone that knows me well knows that my all-time favorite artist is Nina Simone. And some may say I have an unhealthy addiction to Tuck & Patti right now. Don't laugh. Anyways, here's my list:
Tuck & Patti "Takes My Breath Away"
Jan Wheaton "Always on My Mind"
Nina Simone "Seems Like I Never Tire of Loving You"
Tuck & Patti "Sukiyaki"
Sarah Vaughn "Teach Me Tonight"
Al Jarreau "Accentuate the Positive"
Nina Simone "Real Real"
And here's who I tag:
Dawn of Lark Studio
Nicole of Soleil Rouge
Danielle of gold school
Tasha of Pottery by Tasha
Mimi of mi-spa
Amy of Modern Atelier
Michelle of Creative Swoon
Okay, your turn ladies! Can't wait to see who you are rocking to.
